Our Supporters

The Button Farm operates from an all-volunteer base of community friends and supporters, and has ongoing Volunteer Opportunities for students, individuals, corporate, faith and community groups of all kinds.

We offer Student Service Learning (SSL) approved volunteer opportunities! General tasks include farm clean-ups, brush and trail clearing, gardening and event set-up and breakdown activities. Repeat volunteers get to work with animals, as well as help to coordinate other volunteers. We also accept volunteers the first Saturday of each month, throughout the spring and fall seasons, to assist with the Germantown Flea Market.

Long term positions for Tour Guides, Docents, Living History Interpreters, Traditional Artisans and Crafters are available for those completing Button Farm Staff training course. Internships and Special Projects for high school & college students, adults and retirees are available.  Button Farm has served as home to dozens of Eagle Scout, and Boy & Girl Scout projects.

If you, or your, group are interested in participating in a volunteer event, please complete the appropriate form on the Montgomery County Volunteer Page for Button Farm.
