Annual Farm Tour

Pack your picnic basket, a blanket, and some shades, and come out to Button Farm for the return of the annual Montgomery County Farm Tour. If history repeats itself then the weekend promises to be a real scorcher, so come out and find a shady spot for your cooling pleasure. We will have select produce for sale grown hereat Button Farm. Lawn games, farm animals, and self-guided tours promise a fun time for kids of all ages.

Come for the fun on July 23, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. It's included in your Admissions Fee. You can purchase a ticket through Eventbrite here.

1 PM Performance @ Button Farm Pavilion

Fresh off their sold-out performance in the Intersections Festival of Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington, DC comes tap dance ensembles Capitol Tap and District Tap, included with your admission to the farm!  

Celebrating National Tap Dance Day, this pre-professional group of intergenerational tap dance artists will share contemporary and historical works, in addition to some fun surprises.  Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy this upbeat and inspirational show.  

Now in their twelfth season and in residence at Knock On Wood Tap Studio in Washington, DC, founder and director Lisa Swenton-Eppard and assistant artistic director Baakari Wilder lead these artists to become the next generation of tap musicians, dancers, historians, improvisers, technicians, educators, and performers.www.capitoltap.com 

Each Saturday

Come explore the farm each week during our public hours of visitation. Take our Self-Guided Tour of our farm’s Museum Garden, Animal Pens, Historic Outbuildings and exhibits. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the afternoon.
