Join The Montgomery County Lynching Memorial Project (MoCoLMP) and the Montgomery County Remembrance and Reconciliation Commission for a gathering at Button Farm to learn about the work of two local groups in the cause of social justice.
The program includes remarks by Commission and MoCoLMP member Jason Green; Therese Taylor-Stinson, author of Walking the Way of Harriet Tubman: Public Mystic and Freedom Fighter; and teacher and author Lesley Younge, co-leader of MoCoLMP Education Committee, who will read two children’s stories on Harriet Tubman and lead a craft activity. Drink and cookies will be provided!

Additional Activities 

Join us at Button Farm Living History Center for the Tubman Journey to Freedom Experience. Wesley Wofford's moving sculpture, depicting Harriet Tubman leading a child to freedom, will be exhibited outdoors at our open-air museum from April 1-May 30. Site visitation by appointment only through our Eventbrite Reservation system.
