Button Farm Facilities

Our site features a c. 1901 farmhouse, Civil War-era Barn, Historic Outbuildings, Livestock Pens, Museum Garden, and Slave Cemetery. The Grusendorf Log Cabin, our adjunct facility, is situated nearby in Seneca Creek State Park, and features artifacts and activities relating to Germantown’s multi-ethnic immigrant communities.

Rentals

Facilities at The Button Farm are available for rent to members, and include our Pavilion, Fire Circle, Picnic-Barbeque and Recreational Areas. Special events with an historical flair, such as birthday, graduation and retirement parties are available. For rental fees and membership information contact us at Menarefoundation@aol.com.

Restoration

2011 marks the beginning of our capital improvement and restoration of the farm. Our c. 1901 farmhouse, pavilion, tool shed and historic barn will be stabilized and restored over the next few years. To learn more about the project or lend a hand visit our Capital Restoration page.
