The Button Farm Living History Center is located at 16820 Black Rock Road, Germantown, MD, and sits just inside of Seneca Creek State Park.

Family Fun

Come join us for our annual events including Earth Day, May Plant Sale, Juneteenth-Heritage Days Weekend, Montgomery County Farm Tour, Halloween Festival, Make A Difference Day and Fall Festival-Emancipation Weekend. Admission is free to most events. Fees for classes, programs and special events may apply. Check our calendar for details.

Volunteers

The Button Farm Living History Center has numerous volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups ranging from light grounds work and plantation era chores, to carpentry and renovation work. Special Eagle Scout projects may also be arranged. Click here for current postings.

Ongoing opportunities for docents, tour guides and living history interpreters, presenting 19th century personas, are available.
